Measurable Impact
Build vs. Buy: The Math
Most enterprise teams underestimate the true cost of standing up an in-house data collection operation. Here is the breakdown.
| Cost Component | In-House (100 demos) | SVRC Campaign |
|---|---|---|
| Engineer time (100 demos x 45 min @ $50/hr) | $3,750 | Included |
| Hardware procurement / depreciation | $2,000 - $5,000 | Included |
| Calibration, fixtures, workspace setup | $1,500 - $3,000 | Included |
| QC pipeline development (scripts, validation) | $2,000 - $4,000 | Included |
| Data formatting and delivery | $500 - $1,000 | Included |
| Maintenance and troubleshooting | $500 - $1,500 | Included |
| Total | $10,250 - $18,250 | $8,000 |
The in-house estimate assumes you already have a qualified teleoperator and does not include recruiting, training, or ramp-up time. At $50/hr internal engineer cost, 100 demos at 45 min each = 75 hours = $3,750 in labor alone, before hardware, QC, or delivery. SVRC Campaign includes hardware, trained operators, 10-point QC, and delivery in your preferred format (HDF5, RLDS, LeRobot Parquet, or ROS Bag).
For larger programs, the gap widens: a 1,000-demo in-house effort typically exceeds $80K when factoring in hardware wear, operator fatigue, and QC overhead. Contact us for a custom ROI analysis.

Getting SVRC on Your Approved Vendor List
We have been through Fortune 500 procurement processes and know what your legal and finance teams need.
Documents We Provide
- W-9 and certificate of insurance (COI)
- SOC 2 Type II report
- Data processing agreement (DPA)
- Standard MSA and SOW templates
- Security questionnaire responses (SIG Lite, CAIQ)
- References from existing enterprise clients
Typical Procurement Timeline
- Day 1-3: NDA execution and initial scoping
- Day 3-7: Security questionnaire and vendor application
- Day 7-14: Legal review of MSA/SOW
- Day 14-21: Finance approval and PO issuance
- Day 21-28: Kickoff and onboarding begins
For urgent engagements, we can work under a letter of intent (LOI) while the full MSA is finalized, enabling pilots to start within 2 weeks.
4-Week Enterprise Onboarding
From signed agreement to data flowing in your pipeline. This is the typical onboarding timeline for an enterprise data collection program.
Week 1: Kickoff & Task Definition
Joint kickoff with your engineering and ops teams. Define task specifications, success criteria, data format requirements (HDF5, RLDS, LeRobot Parquet, ROS Bag). Select hardware platforms. Assign dedicated SVRC account manager and lead engineer.
Week 2: Hardware Setup & Integration
Hardware arrives at your site or our Mountain View / Allston facility. Camera calibration, workspace configuration, teleoperation rig setup. Integrate with your data pipeline — Fearless Platform access provisioned, API keys issued, SSO configured if requested.
Week 3: Operator Training & Pilot Collection
SVRC operators complete task-specific training and qualification testing (minimum 90% success rate required before production). First batch of pilot demonstrations collected and reviewed with your team. QC pipeline validated.
Week 4: Production & Steady State
Full production collection begins. Weekly status reports, per-operator metrics, and data quality dashboards active. First dataset delivery. Transition to ongoing managed program or continue as pilot. Schedule recurring review cadence with your team.

Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign mutual NDAs before any technical discussion or data sharing. We have standard NDA templates ready, or we can work with your legal team's preferred format. NDAs are typically executed within 24-48 hours.
What is your data security policy?
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We support air-gapped collection environments for sensitive projects. Data is stored on dedicated infrastructure — no shared tenancy for enterprise clients. Data is permanently deleted upon contract completion unless otherwise agreed. We can accommodate SOC 2, ITAR, and GDPR requirements.
Can you work on-site at our facility?
Yes. We deploy engineers and operators on-site for pilots and managed programs. For full deployments, we provide on-site staff during integration and transition to remote monitoring with scheduled on-site visits. We operate across 27 global offices with headquarters in Mountain View, CA (West Coast) and Allston, MA (East Coast), and can support most locations in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
What is your SLA?
Enterprise clients receive SLA-backed response times: critical issues within 2 hours, standard issues within 4 business hours, general inquiries within 1 business day. Full deployment contracts include uptime guarantees and hardware replacement commitments tailored to your operational requirements.
Do you support custom hardware?
Yes. While we stock 40+ standard platforms (OpenArm 101, DK1, UR3e/UR5e, Franka FR3, Unitree G1/Go2, and more), we regularly integrate custom end-effectors, sensors, and third-party hardware. If you have existing robots, we can build data collection and deployment pipelines around your hardware. We also design custom fixtures and workstations for specific tasks.
How do you handle IP?
All data collected for your project is your property. We do not retain, reuse, or share client data. Models trained on your data are owned by you. Our standard enterprise agreement includes clear IP assignment clauses. We are happy to work with your legal team on custom IP terms.
How do I get SVRC on my company's approved vendor list?
We provide all standard procurement documentation: W-9, certificate of insurance, SOC 2 Type II report, data processing agreement, and pre-filled security questionnaires (SIG Lite, CAIQ). Typical vendor approval takes 2-3 weeks. For urgent engagements, we can begin work under a letter of intent while the full MSA is finalized. Email contact@roboticscenter.ai and we will send the procurement package within 24 hours.
What data formats do you deliver?
We deliver in all major robotics data formats: HDF5 (compatible with ACT, Diffusion Policy), RLDS/TFRecord (Google DeepMind ecosystem), LeRobot Parquet (Hugging Face ecosystem), and ROS Bag. Each delivery includes full metadata: camera intrinsics, joint configurations, timestamp synchronization logs, and per-episode quality scores. Custom schemas available on request.
What is the typical onboarding timeline?
4 weeks from signed agreement to production data collection. Week 1: kickoff and task definition. Week 2: hardware setup and integration. Week 3: operator training and pilot collection. Week 4: production begins with full QC and reporting. For teams with existing hardware and well-defined tasks, we have completed onboarding in as little as 2 weeks.
Where are your facilities located?
Our West Coast headquarters is in Mountain View, CA (1117 Independence Ave). Our East Coast headquarters is in Allston, MA. We operate 27 offices globally across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. For on-site engagements, we deploy to your facility regardless of location.
